Unrealistic Body Standards

This is one of my favorite street photography images for the simple fact that it makes me giggle every time I look at it. I created this photo while wandering through NYC about 5 years ago. And I had to take a photo of it because the absurdity of it. And I am glad I did. Because every so often I come back to it to share it because it’s just so random and silly.

On top of that, this is one form of street photography that I find fascinating. Most people think street photography is just people on the streets, but it is also the environment that those people inhabit. This environment allows your viewers extra context into the world in which your “characters” live their lives.
