Day 8/365 of "Unlearning"
What I am loving the most about this 365 day photo project is that I am retraining my brain to slow down and look at the world around me. Yesterday for this shot, I decided to take a quick wander around my neighborhood in the rain. And if you don’t know, rain is amazing to photograph in. As I was wandering, I came across a small walking path that I hadn’t taken before. Within three steps down the path there was a large puddle with massive amounts of leaves in it. And as I stopped to take this photo, rain drops from branches above created ripples within the water. For me, this shot feels almost otherworldly. And this one happened just because I took the time to stop and look around!
