The Heathen - Learning to practice again

This week for my advanced photoshop class, we were required to choose a tutorial on YouTube and create an image using the technique we learned. I did a refresher on making lightening effects in photoshop and created this image.

“The Heathen” is a character I created based around the idea of a post apocalyptic world and this particular man was cast out of his religious zealot group. Forced to wander on his own, he was eventually honored by a cast out deity who gave him powers beyond his wildest dreams. And he chose to used those powers for revenge.

This project worked to remind me to practice and to play. Skills are something that has to be maintained if you don’t want to lose them. That goes for photography and photoshop as well.
