Strangers in the City of Neon and Chrome
I spent two and a half years working and living in NYC. I also spent that time documenting the city. There is just something about this city and its 5 boroughs that captivated me. I fell in love with the way people connected and disconnected. But what eventually began to stand out to me is the quiet moments of everyday life that often seem insignificant. But from an outside perspective, frozen in time, those moments held so much power and meaning. I didnt realize it until I started compiling this series, but it became a love letter to the city of NYC.
This is a small selection of the overall project. These are the images that will be on display at Black Hills State University from October 1st through the end of November. Also check back regularly as I will be adding more images as they become important to the series.
